Discover what to expect from staying at Benesse House
Over the years we have arranged stays at Benesse House for an eclectic range of clients, all of whom have loved it. That is to say every single one of them. Selective Asia’s Nick and Sarah stayed recently and highly recommend it. You don’t have to be an art buff to get the most out of a stay here - it’s a real one off.
Alongside the Benesse Art Museum, across the island there are a host of intriguing art sites to explore, from Monet to outdoor installations and a giant polka dot pumpkin by Yayoi Kusama. A great way to get around the artwork is by bicycle.
Wander along the ancient trails of Kumano Kodo and its spiritual shrines, enjoying the peaceful, and enchanting surroundings as well as taking in the hospitality of local families along the way.
